Hi, I, like many others, am looking to find more information on my grandfather. I know he flew in the 827th Bomb Squadron. As to his crew, I have no knowledge of. He passed nearly two years ago now and knowing that he was in the 827th SQ is the most specific information I have. It would be awesome if anyone had more information or even pictures or ways to acquire more info. Much appreciated.

My uncle, for whom I am named, Lt. II Raymond Clamage, was with the 49th Bomb Wing, 484th Bombardment Group, 827th Bombardment Squadron. He was a navigator, KIA 10/13/1944. I would be happy to compare notes and familial recollections if your family members were part of this same group. I also have access to all of the letters sent back to my grandparents and mother during the war. He is buried at Jefferson Barracks south of St. Louis with other victims of his unit. I do know that there were four survivors from his air craft and have a postwar picture of a meeting of two with my grandfather. All my best to you. You may reach me via rdm at minkuspr.com
