Hello! I’m searching for any info (documents, records, etc.) that anyone may have (or can point me to) relative to my dad, 1st Lt. Curtis G. Green, who was assigned to the 484th from the states and had orders to Italy in March, 1944. He was the command pilot for his aircraft and he and his crew were bringing over a B-24H, serial number 42-94742. En route, dad had his appendix removed in South America so I assume the crew and aircraft went ahead without him. As far as I can tell from records I currently have, he was transferred to the 461st Bomb Group not long after his final arrival in Italy. I don’t think he flew any combat missions while assigned to the 484th. Thanks in advance for any help!!
