Looking for information on 1st Lt. Kenneth A. Hanson, who piloted B-24H 42-94734 which was lost to flak after completing their bomb run over Ploesti on 31 May 1944. He was killed along with most of his crew, two members able to bail out. I have the MACR for that mission, but the main question I have is how can I find out what missions Hanson flew before he was killed? According to the information in the MACR, he had previously flown 17 missions!
Also, does anyone have any photos of his crew/B-24? According to some reports, his aircraft was nicknamed "Sleepy Time Gal", but there are some discrepancies regarding A/C serial numbers.
Thanks so much!
